About The Position

Provide coaching and mentorship to Provider Services staff, classroom teachers, and administrators to support continuous quality improvement and professional growth. Design, develop, and deliver training programs that enhance knowledge, skills, and best practices for providers and staff. Serve as a Registered Trainer and maintain expertise in the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS). Obtain and maintain certification as a Texas Rising Star Mentor through required professional development activities. Partner with child care providers to identify training needs and develop targeted learning opportunities. Lead professional development initiatives that strengthen provider quality and staff performance. Collaborate with mentors, administrators, and educators to analyze data and implement strategies that support child development and improve instructional practices. Promote early childhood education programs and services to community partners, providers, and stakeholders. Manage provider caseloads and ensure compliance with applicable program requirements and standards. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate workshops, training events, and other educational activities. Provide consultation, guidance, and technical assistance to providers, educators, and Provider Services staff. Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance learning outcomes. Maintain accurate program records, documentation, and reporting requirements. Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery. Foster strong relationships with providers, staff, community partners, funding entities, and other stakeholders. Support department goals through collaboration, innovation, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Related Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Experience organizing, planning and developing program operations at a supervisory level
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and human resource management skills
  • Must be willing to complete Texas Rising Star Mentor Program via CLI Engage
  • Must have experience in social services skills relating to parents, children, and providers in the child care industry.
  • Must possess and maintain valid Texas motor vehicle operator’s permit of appropriate classification and endorsement as required.
  • Must agree to maintain a satisfactory MVR and minimum requirement of insurability as required by law

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of experience in early childhood education, child care, Head Start, or Pre-K through third-grade programs.
  • Knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate practices, and child care licensing standards.
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating training for adult learners.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, tracking, and compliance management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
