About The Position

Modivcare is looking for an experienced Provider Relations Manager I to join their team. This position is responsible for building and maintaining positive, effective working relationships with transportation providers across an assigned geographic area while supporting operational performance, service quality, and continuous improvement. This individual will partner closely with internal teams and external providers to strengthen network performance, resolve issues, and help ensure safe, reliable, and compliant transportation services. This role requires approximately 50% travel to meet with transportation providers, attend industry events, and visit assigned markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Zero (0) plus years of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information, negotiate, and resolve conflict.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Customer service mindset and the ability to create a positive experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of proprietary software or the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with non-emergency transportation brokerage is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key relationship manager for transportation providers within an assigned market.
  • Build and maintain productive provider relationships at the local and regional level.
  • Represent the company in meetings with provider partners to manage performance and identify mutual solutions.
  • Make decisions related to provider relationships and day-to-day operational needs.
  • Manage transportation execution across all modes for the assigned area.
  • Monitor provider performance against key metrics, including safety, on-time delivery/pickup, reroutes, compliance, trip acceptance, on-time to pick/depart, on-time to destination, digital compliance, and complaints.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through ongoing provider communication and data review.
  • Use information across multiple systems to identify root causes and take action to resolve issues within the network.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to reduce reroutes, missed trips, provider complaints, and member abrasion.
  • Conduct training sessions for providers and departmental staff on policies, procedures, processes, portals, and system changes.
  • Escalate issues that require input from cross-functional teams or senior leadership.
  • Support safety and compliance to help ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
