About The Position

The Provider Enrollment Specialist I supports provider enrollment and recertification activities to ensure timely billing and uninterrupted payer participation. The role manages CHAMPS/Medicaid enrollments and recertifications, coordinates commercial payer recertifications, maintains accurate provider records, and ensures required documentation is reviewed and uploaded to support credentialing functions. Working within established procedures, the specialist monitors timelines, performs routine follow-up with providers and payers, and escalates complex issues as appropriate to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in a clinic, business, or medical staff office.
One year of Provider Enrollment experience.

Responsibilities

Facilitates CHAMPS and Medicaid provider enrollments to support timely billing and reimbursement processes.
Completes Medicaid and CHAMPS recertifications in accordance with state requirements and established timelines.
Manages commercial payer recertifications, ensuring required documentation is obtained and submitted in a timely manner.
Maintains accurate provider records and ensures required documentation is reviewed and uploaded to support credentialing functions.
Monitors timelines, follows up with providers and payers, and escalates complex issues as appropriate.
