About The Position

The Command Center supports the Food Allergy Institute’s (FAI) mission through direct and indirect patient care using innovative approaches and AI technology. This role provides leadership to virtual and onsite FAI teams while acting as a primary liaison between the Command Center Lead and clinical staff. The Command Center Provider manages complex patient cases, reactions, and ensures proper escalation through accurate documentation and data management. This role optimizes proprietary tools like Pantaleon, Salesforce, and HubSpot to enhance patient care and safety. This position operates on a specific evening schedule to ensure continuous support for the patient community.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant School.
  • Current California NP and RN or PA License.
  • National Provider Identification Number (NPI).
  • Maintenance of PA or NP Certifications.
  • BLS, PALS, & ACLS Certification required.
  • Strong expertise in patient case management and medical software (Pantaleon, Athena, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid remote environment with high-speed internet and a professional home office setup.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and stabilize grade 1-3 reactions and triage escalated concerns based on TIP protocols.
  • Complete history collection and ensure timely resolution and next-step communication with patients and families.
  • Coordinate closely with the Logistics MD for stabilization, including follow-up calls, documentation, and action plans.
  • Maintain clear documentation in systems like Salesforce (SF), Athena, and Pantaleon.
  • Take ownership of patient follow-up and clinical concerns, resolving struggles throughout the patient journey.
  • Perform scheduled telehealth appointments and cover as Provider On Call (POC) for emergencies.
  • Identify areas for improvement, leading projects and supporting provider education.
  • Serve as a resource for providers, help onboard new staff, and guide clinical decision-making in complex cases.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Remission, Scheduling, Billing) to ensure overall patient care and satisfaction.
  • Assist with annual reviews of SOPs, Reaction Algorithms, and Template Responses with the Command Center Manager.
  • Adapt quickly to change and foster a positive virtual work environment.
  • Maintain schedule flexibility to deliver on-site clinic coverage and patient care support to ensure uninterrupted patient flow and continuous care delivery.
