About The Position

To support and increase the number of qualified child care providers. Essential Functions Recruit child care providers. Train or provide technical assistance to providers on the payment process and enrollment/orientation to the child care system. Participate in CCR&R outreach events. Remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Marginal Functions Perform case management duties. Participate in ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement activities. Assist child care providers and families by referring to supportive services. Serve as liaison between child care providers and WV Department of Human Services. Compile and submit reports within established timelines. Respond to any inquiries within a timely manner. Participate in all required committees, conferences, meetings and training relevant to the program and/or agency. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Abide by all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies related to the program and relevant grants.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Utilize technology to enter, retrieve, and process information and communicate electronically.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Work collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services or related field: social work, sociology, psychology, counseling, interpersonal communications, elementary or special education and behavioral science.
  • Successfully clearing the background check process, which may include: criminal background check, education verification, references, drug testing, motor vehicle records, sex offender registry, Child Protective Services check, and federal grants debarred list.
  • Able to travel as needed.
  • Adhere to NAEYC Code of Ethics.

Nice To Haves

  • This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week following a successful 90-day review.
