About The Position

This role serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model to Advanced Practice Provider (APP) colleagues. The position involves developing plans of care within the scope of practice, utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care. The individual will use prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations. This role also involves interacting with and contributing to the professional development of peers and colleagues, providing clinical leadership, and supporting lifelong learning. Responsibilities include completing assigned goals, generating and communicating the on-call schedule, and participating in project initiatives and regular meetings related to the area of practice. The role also acts as a liaison between physicians, staff, and administration.

Requirements

  • 2 years clinical experience functioning in the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner First Assist role.
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant training program and has successfully completed the examination of the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants or a graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Computer literate.
  • Current license by the state they practice.
  • Eligible for or have certificate of fitness/prescription privileges.
  • BLS within 14 days of hire.
