Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
• 1-3 years of related technical experience is required
• Ability to read blueprints
• Fabrication capabilities including spot, tig or MIG welding skills
• Basic PC skills required

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certification preferred
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) desired, or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Using blueprints, sketches and/or verbal instructions, determine dimensioning procedures and equipment needed to fabricate parts
• Rework parts as necessitated by changes in engineering requests, customer requests or revision to specifications
• Perform layout, fabrication, and installation for a variety of parts and assemblies
• Set up and operate equipment as necessary to carry through fabrication
• Make final check of fabricated part against given specifications prior to component delivery to Quality Department for inspection
• May be required to perform spot, tig or MIG welding operations on parts, assemblies, and vehicles
• Perform tasks necessary to assemble fabricated parts and assemblies to vehicle and/or equipment
• Determine most accurate, efficient procedure and tooling for experimental or prototype part fabrication and/or component rework
• As required, develop tooling necessary for initial and continued production component support
