About The Position

The Facilitator supports Prototype and R&D team operations by organizing priorities, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely follow-through on requests. This role provides hands-on troubleshooting support, resolves routine operational issues, and serves as the primary point of contact to make day-to-day decisions to keep work progressing safely and on schedule, in alignment with direction from the Prototype & Sample Supervisor.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School/GED required.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written with peers and management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work.
  • Proficient in technical writing and ability to clearly express ideas and suggestions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, task orientated, ability to prioritize.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • A strong self-starter who demonstrates personal initiative to complete assignments on a timely basis.
  • High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Assist Specialist in troubleshooting work assignments for prototype technicians to meet delivery expectations.
  • Support technicians when reaching out for required materials and tools to complete work requests.
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues that come up throughout the shift.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved with current tools/knowledge to Supervisor for resolution.
  • Immediately highlight limitations to the department's ability to meet scheduled production (i.e. availability of materials, work instructions, staffing levels).
  • Review and analyze in-process data to determine if the product is within specification.
  • Elevate to leadership any manufacturing or equipment concerns, reach out to support.
  • Update and maintain project tracking tools.
  • Assist technicians with quality checks and first articles inspections, including reviewing current part with proof for product accuracy.
  • Operate equipment as required.
  • Assist with review of completed project notes for thoroughness and accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Help other Department Supervisors as needed.
  • Issue requests for material, engraving programs, overlay creation/accuracy as required.
  • Collaborate with other groups outside the prototype team, be their main point of contact.
  • Ensure that all equipment parameters, recipes, etc., along with key attributes of each operation are documented.
  • Communicate and follow up on rush requests with internal vendors for proper visibility.
  • Maintain and support inventory, priority, and scheduling databases as well as housekeeping and container maintenance.
  • Record processing/quality issues and resolution. Suggest Solutions.
  • Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant project situations.
  • Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness programs.
  • Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned.
