About The Position

This is an internship role in support of the Rapid Prototype Center. In the rapid prototype center specialist role, the intern would work with the engineering teams in developing the models utilized in future products using 3D printing technologies. Opportunities to learn 3D CAD modeling, CNC machining, laser cutting, project management and spray finishing. Projects can vary from part concepts to reworking existing products. Projects will be quick turn around, hands on, with exposure to various techniques.

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor's or Master’s in Engineering.
• U.S. Citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted US work authorization.
• Possess analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use statistical tools and techniques.
• Able to solve challenging problems involving testing, planning, and implementation of new methods.
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of common office tools (i.e Excel, Word, etc).

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams in developing models for future products using 3D printing technologies.
• Learn 3D CAD modeling, CNC machining, laser cutting, project management, and spray finishing.
• Work on projects ranging from part concepts to reworking existing products.
• Engage in quick turnaround, hands-on projects with exposure to various techniques.
