The Prototype Assembler 1 will perform mechanical assembly using documented work instructions, adhering to safety procedures, and maintaining a clean work environment. The role involves operating hand and pneumatic tools, supporting molding operations, packing products, performing basic computer tasks, and assisting with visual and dimensional quality checks. The employee will also support preventative maintenance, help organize work areas, and may work across departments. Adherence to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental regulations is required, and occasional schedule adjustments may be necessary. Overtime, typically 10–20 hours per week, is a regular requirement. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and is an onsite role in Ladysmith, WI, with a 1st Shift schedule (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30p.m.).

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Company will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening).

Responsibilities

• Follow documented work instructions and safety procedures.
• Perform mechanical assembly or general manufacturing tasks.
• Operate basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, and lifting equipment.
• Perform basic computer skills for completing production or documentation tasks.
• Be willing to work in any assigned department.
• Perform physical tasks, including lifting, cleaning, and equipment operation.
• Be willing to work required overtime (typically 10–20 hours per week).
• Support molding operations.
• Pack products.
• Assist with visual and dimensional quality checks.
• Support preventative maintenance.
• Help keep work areas organized.
• May work across departments.
• Follow all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental regulations.
• Occasionally adjust schedules to meet needs.
