About The Position

The Prototype Analyst will be responsible for managing and validating Master Parts Lists (MPLs), ensuring accuracy through regular checks and alignment with Bill of Materials (BOMs). This role involves collaborating with engineering teams and partner companies, managing change requests, and supporting production and build processes. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining system alignment by analyzing and correlating data between platforms and communicating with the warehouse team to update part availability. Additionally, the role requires supporting various meetings such as part shortage, deviation, and Change Review Boards (CRBs), and reporting clear part status throughout build durations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Data Management
  • Experience with change management processes and tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to navigate complex data challenges.
  • Good understanding of product data management (PDM)
  • Strong experience in data analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an EV or automotive prototype development environment.
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture and systems, (preferably the electrical and wiring harnesses)
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create and validate Master Parts Lists (MPLs) for all builds, working hand-in-hand with the internal engineering team and partner companies.
  • Ensure MPL accuracy through regular Bill of Materials (BOM) to MPL alignment checks.
  • Collaborate with Prototype Engineering to integrate process-related data into the MPL.
  • Perform validations regularly (e.g., weekly) to maintain MPL accuracy.
  • Manage changes effectively by approving and executing Change Management (CM) tickets.
  • Maintain system alignment by analyzing, debugging, and correlating data during transfers between various platforms.
  • Regularly communicate with the warehouse team to update part availability.
  • Support part shortage meetings, providing clear and concise status updates on all critical issues.
  • Support deviation meetings to ensure all necessary changes are accurately incorporated into the MPL.
  • Report the clear part status throughout the duration of the build tracking.
  • Support Change Review Boards (CRBs) for any last-minute changes that may be needed.
