About The Position

The individual selected for this position will assume all duties of Maintenance Mechanic at our Protein Conversion facility. The role requires a proactive and motivated individual to operate and maintain machines within the Maintenance Department. Training will be provided for other roles within the department. The position involves administrative duties such as completing P.M.'s and logs.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 85 lbs.
• Ability to work at high heights.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and possibly different shifts (day, evening, or night).
• Willingness to travel to other locations for projects.
• Willingness to get pipe certification in welding.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
• Mechanical ability.
• Ability to apply common sense.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
• Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Willingness to work close to other employees at some stations (less than 3 feet apart).
• Good communication skills.
• Good hand and eye coordination required.
• Must complete a successful background check.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years' experience.
• Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields.
• Mechanical experience.
• Food or production experience.

Responsibilities

• Operation and upkeep of machines in the Maintenance Dept.
• Training for other jobs in the department.
