Bristol Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Protein Analytics Scientist (in Brisbane, CA). This role involves distinguishing the primary, tertiary, and quaternary protein structure using a variety of characterization techniques such as mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and other analytical techniques. The scientist will analyze complex mass spectroscopic data sets derived from chemical foot printing, post-translational modification, de novo sequencing, and proteomic experiments. They will leverage expertise in protein characterization and mass spectroscopic expertise towards selection and optimization of therapeutic antibodies, conduct epitope mapping and crosslinking studies to classify protein-protein interactions and binding interfaces, and design and execute mass spectrometry-based proteomics studies. The role also includes performing structural characterization of antibody and protein therapeutics to support the selection of lead candidates, developing workflows to analyze and visualize complex proteomics datasets, and presenting data and analysis in written and oral form to project leaders and teams. Collaboration with cross-functional groups including Biology, Protein Expression/Purification, and Protein Engineering is essential.
