About The Position

Control Risks is hiring a Protective Intelligence Analyst to support the executive protection program of a major client. This role involves producing tactical intelligence reports, conducting POI investigations, and assessing executive events and travel. The analyst will communicate with the client's EP team, executives, and the GSOC team, and collaborate with broader intelligence teams. Responsibilities include proactively identifying, monitoring, and analyzing emerging threats, providing rapid assessments of security situations, performing OSINT and social media monitoring, and developing global threat information resources. The role also entails conducting risk and threat assessments for protective intelligence initiatives, assisting in developing threat response contingency plans, and serving as a repository for security incident information. The analyst will produce intelligence products, reports, and briefings, and maintain internal liaisons within the client organization. Other duties may be assigned to support the client and Control Risks Embedded Consulting Services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, criminal justice, regional studies, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in protective intelligence, threat intelligence, security analysis, or related analytical roles.
  • Proven ability to synthesize raw data from multiple, unrelated sources into a comprehensive finished intelligence product.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and verbal briefing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, including under stressful or time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Availability to support emergency or off-hours situations if required for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of social media monitoring techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, monitor, research, analyze, and provide warnings regarding emerging threats and trends that may impact the client’s security planning and operations.
  • Detect and provide rapid assessments of “breaking” security situations as required.
  • Perform open-source intelligence (OSINT) investigations and social media monitoring to support protective intelligence efforts.
  • Identify and develop resources for travel-related and location-based threat information globally, including internet, databases, public records, media, government, law enforcement, and contracted services.
  • Conduct risk and threat assessments supporting protective intelligence initiatives, including travel risks, event security considerations, and executive protection support as required by the client.
  • Assist in the development of threat response contingency plans and emergency response for client sites and critical assets.
  • Act as part of the central repository for information related to security incident reports and suspicious activity logs.
  • Produce timely, accurate, and relevant intelligence products, reports, and briefings tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Establish and maintain internal liaisons within the client organization to foster timely and effective risk-related information exchange.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the client and Control Risks Embedded Consulting Services.
