Under limited supervision, performs and/or monitors, reviews and leads the work of other assigned personnel engaged in the installation, configuration, testing, calibration, and maintenance of protections systems, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and metering and telemetry systems in accordance with applicable corporate policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of concepts, principles, methods, techniques, processes, practices, procedures and rules and regulations related to protections systems, control and data acquisition systems, and metering systems sufficient to perform a broad range of varied, non-routine activities such as those activities associated with maintenance, testing, functional testing, checking out and commissioning of substation, generation, distribution, and control center equipment. Troubleshoots and solves complex problems, identifies and recommends responses to new and unusual circumstances or situations throughout the JEA electrical system. Regular contact with others within the work unit and other units throughout the JEA system is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts or information.
