This role is for a Senior Protection & Control Team Lead within the Transmission, Distribution and Renewables team. The position is based in Vancouver, BC. Requirements
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 15-20 years of previous protection & control design work experience in T&D and or Generation sector.
- Has taken courses in Protection & Control at a University level or equivalent.
- Is registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills and good work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AutoCAD and PLC programming is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, coach, guide and supervise a team of junior P&C engineers.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects.
- Assist in development of technical processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Assist in preparation of proposals.
- Prepare Protection & Control designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations.
- Program Protection & Control devices.
- Work on reports and calculations and perform site visits.
