About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to join their Transmission, Distribution & Renewables Sector team in Burnaby, BC. This role involves preparing Protection & Control designs from conceptual to implementation stages for Transmission, Distribution, and Generating stations, ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code. The engineer will be responsible for creating various diagrams, programming devices, conducting reports and calculations, and performing site visits, while collaborating with other team members to ensure project delivery. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years + relevant experience
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and is registered with EGBC
• Has taken courses in Protection & Control at a University level or equivalent
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills and good work ethic

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD
• Experience with PLC programming

Responsibilities

• Prepare Protection & Control designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations
• Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code
• Prepare single line diagrams, DC/AC control schematics, panel layouts and bill of materials and detailed wiring diagrams
• Program Protection & Control devices
• Work on reports and calculations and perform site visits
• Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects
