About The Position

Propulsion Technicians assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain flight and development engines, test equipment, and tooling. They build and maintain flight-worthy rocket engines and associated test equipment, support engineering process improvements, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Work takes place in the engine shop and assembly area, as well as outdoors at the rocket development facility and on test stands during test operations. Technicians work as part of an integrated team and may assist other programs to support SpaceX’s overall success. The position supports engine build, integration, and test operations, including preparing and installing hardware, maintaining systems and equipment, and collaborating with engineers to develop and document processes. It involves night and day shifts, travel to support engine operations, and work in demanding physical and outdoor environments.
