This includes fluid systems, valves, regulators, actuators, and other precision components that are critical to spacecraft propulsion. The role is hands-on and ideal for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude from aerospace, energy, or other fluid-mechanical industries.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical trade certification (mechanical, aerospace, or industrial disciplines).
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical or fluid systems (aerospace, oil & gas, energy, automotive, or related fields).
  • Proficiency with hand tools, torquing practices, and fitting assembly.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cryogenic fluids, high-pressure gas systems, or hazardous fluids.
  • Knowledge of valves, regulators, pumps, and mechanical actuators.
  • Exposure to aerospace build/test environments.
  • Comfort with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the assembly, integration, and test of propulsion hardware, including tanks, engines, valves, regulators, pumps, tubing, fittings, and instrumentation.
  • Work alongside engineers to build, install, and maintain propulsion system components and subsystems.
  • Assist in operation of test equipment, including setup, checkout, and safe execution of test procedures.
  • Perform system-level leak checks as well as pressure and functional tests of components and integrated systems.
  • Operate and maintain fluid ground support equipment, including cryogenic and high-pressure gas systems.
  • Provide support during qualification and acceptance testing of propulsion components and systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of build steps, test data, and system configurations.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and cleanliness protocols to ensure flight hardware quality.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement in build and test operations.
