About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) is hiring mid-career and senior Propulsion Systems Engineers with fluid systems expertise for its Experimental Systems Group (ESG) at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. ESG supports government customers across advanced technology domains in a fast-paced, agile development environment. Its portfolio includes the X-37B autonomous reusable spaceplane. The engineer will work on propulsion components and systems used in vehicle cryogenic fuel, oxidizer, bi-propellant, monopropellant, pneumatic, hydraulic, or pyrotechnic applications. Work spans component requirements, design, interfaces, qualification, supplier development, testing, refurbishment, integration, launch and recovery, reliability, and issue resolution. The position is expected to be 100% onsite at Kennedy Space Center and participates in Boeing’s 9/80 schedule rotation: nine-hour shifts for eight days per biweekly pay period, with every other Friday off. The role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance; an interim and/or final clearance is required after starting. U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance. The position is also NASA safety-sensitive and subject to random drug and alcohol testing. It must meet U.S. export-control compliance requirements, and the employer will not sponsor employment visas. The position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Pay ranges are $112,200–$151,800 for Mid-Career, Level 3 and $136,850–$185,150 for Senior, Level 4. Boeing’s described total rewards may include competitive base pay and variable compensation, as well as eligible benefits such as health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time away from work. Availability may depend on eligibility and other factors.
