Responsible for calibrating and optimizing the charging control system of an electric vehicle, learning the propulsion software, performing systems engineering, and developing processes and tools for calibration; integrate charging software in the VCU and calibrate it to ensure we meet our functional objectives; responsible for prototype vehicle calibration and support; translate vehicle requirements/functional objectives and formulate development and testing plans; work with Slate suppliers through Development Phases Alpha, Beta, PV, and Product Intent, and with Slate cross-functional teams, including Chief Engineer, Architecture, Purchasing, Program Manager, and Quality Engineers, to ensure the successful launch and release; utilize MATLAB, Simulink, Model-in-Loop (MiL) testing, Software-in-Loop (SiL) testing, ETAS INCA, ETAS MDA, Vector CANalyzer, power line communication (PLC) in EV charging, AC/DC charging control algorithms, issue-management systems, AUTOSAR Vehicle Architecture, and Microsoft Visio to perform duties; define, execute and assist with design verification plans (DVP) and reporting; engage in issue resolution and tracking using the Issue Management System to ensure timely support for production ramp activities; perform calibration change management, including documentation of calibrations and changes; and execute programs through the development process that meet or exceed objectives for performance, drivability and customer satisfaction.
