About The Position

DNV - Energy Services North America is seeking a Proposal Manager - Utility Programs with a passion for supporting the future of the clean energy industry within our Energy Management team. The successful candidate will join our growing business development proposal group. The Proposal Manager Utility Programs will be responsible for working collaboratively with a team, managing proposal deliverables and timelines, writing proposal sections, working with subject matter experts, facilitating kick-off and review meetings, developing graphics and presentations, and polishing and delivering a finished proposal product on time and in compliance with RFP and DNV requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the proposal process from RFP receipt to submission, including proposal document development and management, proposal content development, and proposal design and graphics development.
  • Assess RFP requirements and create proposal development plans.
  • Construct a proposal template and outline.
  • Assign document writing tasks.
  • Present and discuss the RFP with proposal teams.
  • Help teams develop proposal win points.
  • Monitor proposal team assignments to ensure work is completed.
  • Track progress using a compliance matrix.
  • Manage draft and final review meetings, and ensure all changes are incorporated.
  • Partner with bid managers to develop a proposal schedule, promote consistent schedule adherence, and hold proposal contributors to deadlines.
  • Develop content from subject matter expert (SME) interviews and SME materials, as well as write new content using internal resources.
  • Collect and assemble core qualification materials (resumes, bios, project descriptions, company information, and related).
  • Track and monitor working drafts.
  • Assemble required attachments, addendums, and related, including communicating with other company managers and staff for required reviews.
  • Edit proposal content for style, consistency, clarity, voice, and grammar.
  • Finalize deliverables into “ready to send” form using tools such as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Submit final materials (via email, web portal, and/or hard copy shipment).
  • Collaborate with and create synergy among bid managers, opportunity managers, and SMEs, to develop and refine proposals.
  • Create proposal templates and graphics that provide visual storytelling using tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Develop content and graphics for bid interview presentations.
  • Provide ad-hoc marketing support to the business development team.
  • Track current and pending bids.
  • Manage all core materials in proposal development (resumes, project descriptions, company and business area descriptions, and similar) using Teams/SharePoint.
  • Identify process and content improvements.
  • Train new bid team members in the proposal process.
