About The Position

Metso is seeking a Proposal Engineer – CSP Upgrades to join their Crushing Service Products Business Line team. This role is responsible for preparing and delivering proposals for crusher upgrade projects. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, competitive bids that support business growth and customer success. The position reports to the Pricing & Proposals Director and is based in Brookfield, WI, with hybrid working options available. This role involves approximately 10% travel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in proposals, project management, engineering, or sales of mining or mechanical equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining, Mineral Processing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, and project environments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce and SAP
  • Knowledge of crushing equipment and related products

Responsibilities

  • Manage proposal workload and timelines to ensure on-time delivery aligned with financial targets for bookings and margin
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive proposal progress and alignment
  • Prepare accurate, high-quality proposals and supporting documentation in line with company standards
  • Review customer RFQs and distribute specifications to relevant teams for input
  • Support bid/no-bid decisions and contribute to proposal strategy development
  • Define scope, value proposition, and execution plans with internal stakeholders
  • Partner with sourcing and procurement to develop cost estimates and assess risks/opportunities
  • Review contractual terms in coordination with legal to ensure compliance with company policies
