About The Position

An excellent opportunity exists within the estimating organization for a Proposal Analyst. This position will support the Strategic Sensors & Precision Strike (SSPS) estimating team for a proposal analyst. The estimating organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the estimating organization supports gate reviews, Government audits and negotiations with the customer. RTX solves some of the toughest challenges in aerospace and defense.

Requirements

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
Experience with MS Office
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the development, analysis and completion of varying proposal types
Work with other functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and the associated program
Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
Develop detailed Request for Estimates which are used to kick off proposals
Lead the development of Basis of Estimates to include tracking progress, validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency across the program, and confirming the estimating approach is sound
Prepare and present submit charts for program / company leadership review of proposal information
Ensure full FAR compliance on all proposals.
Assess, develop and implement solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittal
Interface and coordinate with all levels of management within the program (this includes ensuring alignment on priorities, strategies, expectations, and status)
