About The Position

The Salvation Army is hiring a part-time Property Technician to maintain our buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and can handle a variety of repairs, helping to keep a community space safe, welcoming, and ready for daily use.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of building and vehicle maintenance, including plumbing and heating and cooling systems.
The ability to prioritize work, solve problems, and complete tasks reliably.
Basic computer skills for maintenance records and reports.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet The Salvation Army’s driver qualification standards.
The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and perform work that may involve standing, walking, bending, or squatting, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Background check required.
Safe From Harm training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
Inspect facilities, perform preventive maintenance, and document completed work.
Maintain grounds, including mowing, trimming, snow and ice removal, and cleanup.
Check organization vehicles and arrange service or repairs when needed.
Help move furniture and set up spaces for programs.
Report safety concerns and care for maintenance equipment.
