About The Position

Abode Money is a rapidly growing technology company dedicated to helping homeowners save on the financial aspects of homeownership. With tens of thousands of homeowners already utilizing their platform, the company is expanding into Pennsylvania and is seeking an experienced Property Tax Advisor. This contract-based, hourly consulting role is designed for an expert in Pennsylvania’s property tax protest system to serve as a trusted advisor during Abode Money's early market entry. For the right candidate, this position has the potential to evolve into a broader partnership, assisting in the expansion of their property tax solution within Pennsylvania. Abode Money is already partnered with prominent home financial services companies, including USAA, Lemonade, Compass, Nerdwallet, CreditKarma, Monarch Money, Consumer Reports, and Thumbtack.

Requirements

• Have direct experience in the Pennsylvania property tax system—through your own practice, as part of a firm, or within local government.
• Are deeply familiar with county-specific procedures, deadlines, and rules, especially for Pennsylvania’s five largest counties.
• Possess an innovative mindset—ready to find creative solutions while fully adhering to local guidelines.
• Are available to consult on an as-needed, hourly basis via phone or Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Clarify state statutes, administrative processes, and compliance obligations for property tax protests (Regulatory Insight).
• Advise on unique requirements and nuances for major Pennsylvania counties (County-Specific Knowledge).
• Guide on when and how to file petitions (TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence), including online versus paper submission requirements (Filing Processes).
• Share best practices and insights to support hearing preparation and protest strategy (Hearing Procedures).
