With tens of thousands of users on their platform, they are expanding into Georgia and are seeking an experienced Property Tax Advisor to steer their team through the state’s regulatory and operational landscape. This is an hourly, contract-based consulting opportunity, ideal for an expert in Georgia’s property tax protest system who can serve as a trusted guide during the early stages of market entry. There’s also potential for this role to transition into a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership as they build out their property tax solutions in Georgia. Abode Money partners with leading home financial services organizations. The mission is to make homeownership more affordable, and this expertise will be crucial in helping the company expand into new states responsibly and efficiently, ensuring a strong and compliant foundation. This is a flexible, high-impact opportunity where guidance can make a meaningful difference without the demands of a full-time commitment.

Requirements

  • Have direct experience in Georgia’s property tax ecosystem—either through your own practice, an established firm, or local government office.
  • Possess deep knowledge of county-specific procedures, deadlines, and regulations, especially within Georgia’s five largest counties.
  • Approach challenges with innovative thinking while adhering to local statutes and guidelines.
  • Are available to consult on an as-needed, hourly basis by phone or Zoom.

Responsibilities

  • Clarifying pertinent Georgia statutes, administrative processes, and compliance obligations for property tax protests.
  • Providing guidance on the local nuances and requirements of major counties.
  • Advising on how and when to file petitions (including TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence requirements), and distinguishing between online and paper submissions.
  • Offering insights into hearing processes and best practices for protest preparation.
