About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential community. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service to tenants while ensuring compliance with affordable housing and tax credit regulations. As a Property Manager, you will play a key role in leasing, rent collection, tenant relations, compliance management, and maintaining the overall success of the property.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–2 years of affordable housing, tax credit leasing, property management, or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of leasing procedures, resident relations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tax credit applications, annual recertifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company policies and regulations.
  • Process and track accounts receivable, rent payments, and tenant billing.
  • Collect outstanding balances and communicate professionally with tenants and families regarding payment arrangements.
  • Process ACH enrollment paperwork for new and existing tenants.
  • Prepare, review, and execute leases, renewals, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate the turnover of vacant apartments through collaboration with maintenance and community teams.
  • Maintain accurate occupancy records, census data, and reporting.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants, applicants, vendors, and business partners.
  • Generate and submit accurate reports in a timely manner.
