A real estate management company is seeking a Property Manager to lead the setup and launch of a 30-unit short-term rental property in the Bronx. This is a hands-on role where the right person will own the entire process — from construction oversight through to getting units rent-ready — running Airbnb-style operations at scale. It's ideal for someone who thrives in build-out environments and knows how to make the numbers work.

Requirements

  • Experience in property management, ideally with short-term or furnished rentals
  • Strong understanding of construction oversight and project budgeting
  • Familiarity with NYC landlord-tenant regulations and building compliance standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with the Bronx or NYC rental market is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction and renovation of a 30-unit property in the Bronx
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to keep the build on track
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality and compliance
  • Develop cost estimates for all aspects of the build-out and ongoing operations
  • Analyze rental pricing to maximize revenue across units
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance
  • Set up and manage Airbnb-style rental operations for the property
  • Establish systems and processes to run the property efficiently at launch
  • Handle tenant communications, complaints, and service requests in a timely manner
  • Oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and unit turnovers
  • Ensure the property remains clean, safe, and up to code at all times
  • Build and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and service providers
