About The Position

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Property Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Centerville Pointe in Garland, Texas. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in property management, LIHTC housing, leasing, resident relations, and team leadership. This position is responsible for overseeing property operations, supporting and developing the on-site team, maintaining strong resident relationships, and ensuring the community operates effectively and in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential to the success of this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of property management experience required, including at least two years in a Property Manager role.
  • Minimum of three years of LIHTC experience required.
  • Previous housing or multifamily property management experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, train, and develop on-site personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong leasing, resident relations, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use computers and available technology to accomplish job duties.
  • Basic math and bookkeeping skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the property.
  • Hire, train, direct, motivate, and support on-site personnel.
  • Set clear expectations for team members and provide ongoing direction, coaching, and accountability.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with employees, residents, prospective residents, vendors, and the general public.
  • Oversee leasing, marketing, resident retention, and customer service activities.
  • Monitor property occupancy and support strategies to achieve leasing and retention goals.
  • Prioritize workload and provide direction to on-site personnel to ensure property needs are addressed timely and effectively.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure the community is maintained to established standards.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills while working toward solutions that are beneficial to residents and the property.
  • Oversee financial operations, including timely collection, deposits, recordkeeping, expense allocation, and adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Monitor property expenses and work within established budget requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable LIHTC requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required property documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in staff meetings, company meetings, training, and other events as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
