About The Position

The Property Manager, also known as a Client Happiness Hero & Master of Multitasking, is responsible for assisting customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through other advertising/marketing opportunities, while enhancing sales through rentals, insurance, and moving supplies. This role involves providing excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions, guiding new customers through rental processes, and resolving issues professionally and positively. The Property Manager also maintains the daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units, keeps well-organized records, and performs minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections. Additionally, the role includes shopping local competitors, reporting gathered information on rates and specials, performing additional marketing functions, monitoring rates, specials, and revenue-related factors, and handling daily administrative tasks such as cash handling, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits, and completing auctions according to policy and laws. The property hours are Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM and Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with Sundays closed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • At least one year of property management experience preferred
  • A background screening will be conducted at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales or retail environment preferred
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer service-related environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through other advertising/marketing opportunities; enhance sales through rentals, insurance and moving supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions; guide new customers through rental processes

  • Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units; keep well-organized records and perform minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections to ensure timely and consistent completion
  • Shop local competitors in-person and online; report information gathered, including rates and specials, to supervisors and other departments; perform additional marketing functions as needed
  • Monitors rates, specials, and revenue-related factors
  • Landscape work - pull weeds, cut locks, change latches, etc
  • Perform required daily administrative tasks including handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits and completing auctions according to policy and laws
