Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or real estate, or an equivalent amount of training in property management.
  • Relevant experience in a property management role for a comparable property or group of properties.
  • Proven team leadership skills to successfully supervise and develop the individuals on their team.
  • Proven ability to successfully achieve goals related to property financial performance.
  • Proven skills to build strong tenant relationships.
  • Proven skills to support property marketing, sales, and leasing activities.
  • Broad knowledge of property maintenance, security, and construction procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial or multi-family real estate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop property staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure team alignment with company goals and property-specific objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of property maintenance, including regular inspections to maintain optimal condition and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Coordinate with security, maintenance personnel, vendors, and contractors to deliver high-quality service.
  • Develop and manage property budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and cost management goals.
  • Conduct financial reporting and analysis, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with tenants to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  • Address tenant concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring resolution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle lease negotiations, renewals, and terminations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Oversee and manage contracts with vendors, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise any construction or renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specified standards.
  • Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication with residents about property matters, maintenance schedules, and community updates.
  • Respond promptly to all maintenance requests and inquiries, enhancing tenant satisfaction and community reputation.
