About The Position

Multifamily Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, always ensuring a high level of service. They are also responsible for motivating high-performing teams to maximize the property's performance. This role ensures the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment, overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. The Property Manager provides superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. They also develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high-performing team, including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel, to maximize engagement and minimize turnover. Driving revenues through thorough analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs is key, as is instilling, maintaining, and modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company. The role involves supervising day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, maintaining residents' files, and managing the community budget and finances.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of on-site Multifamily Property Management experience required.
  • 1+ years of on-site Multifamily Property Manager experience required, including full financial property accounting and budgeting responsibilities.
  • Yardi systems experience required.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills
  • General office, bookkeeping and sales skills and excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Real Estate License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  • Completing lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.
  • Tracking and evaluating advertising, and all client traffic.
  • Developing, mentoring, leading, and managing a high-performing, cohesive team, including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel, in order to maximize their engagement and minimize turnover.
  • Driving revenues with your thorough understanding and analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs.

  • Supervising day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Maintaining effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching team as necessary.
  • Maintaining residents' files in accordance with company's standards.
  • Maintaining a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
  • Managing and maintaining all aspects of overall community budget and finances.
  • Working with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
  • Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting, improving the performance of each staff member.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of team, ensuring that all C&W policies and procedures are followed.

  • Be able to manage a team.
