About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Oversee the implementation of strategic direction and initiatives at the properties to preserve the physical integrity of the buildings, to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, vendors and tenants, and to oversee expenses in order to maximize income generated by the center. Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in retail and commercial real estate, shopping industry or equivalent field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational methods and is hands on as necessary.
  • 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position
  • Supervisory experience working with third party contractors.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with all levels of people.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, construction practices and preventive maintenance for retail assets.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate effectively in English to tenants, vendors, clients and employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computer and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

  • Management of retail property portfolio.
  • Expense control.
  • Preparation of and review of documents and reports.
  • Supervision of independent contractors.
  • Oversight of center-contracted services and vendor suppliers.
  • Administration of State and Federal safety policies and documentation.
  • Budget preparation and management.
  • Administration of leases and reciprocal easement agreements.
  • Maintain strong working relations with tenants.
  • Support marketing with all events and promotions as needed
