About The Position

We own, develop, and manage a diverse portfolio of and commercial and residential properties, and we take pride in doing it thoughtfully. As a Commercial Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a highly stable commercial industrial property encompassing 179,000 square feet in Newbury Park, CA exercising independent judgment in decision-making. The role requires a customer service-focused professional who is highly organized, solutions-oriented and committed to maintaining the high standards we provide our clients. We understand property management sometimes requires long hours, that’s why this position supports real work-life balance. Your work week won’t exceed more than 35 hours. M-F 8:30am-4:30pm. This allows you more time with family and friends! The salary for this position is $33–38/hr, plus 100% of leasing and renewal commissions. Final compensation depends on experience and qualifications. We are also offering a one-time sign on bonus of $1,500 which will be paid on the first payroll after thirty days of employment (less applicable taxes). To be eligible you must start the position on or before 6/15/26 and mention the sign on bonus during initial contact with our recruiter or HR representative during the interview process. Current employees are ineligible for the sign on bonus. Doesn’t extra cash sound amazing!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business or related field required.
  • Two or more years’ experience of commercial property management, with a focus on industrial real estate. Perfect for a tenured assistant property manager ready to elevate their career!
  • Strong technical skills are essential, including proficiency in MS Office and Yardi software.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Industry expertise in managing office, industrial/warehouse properties, including lease negotiations and financial reporting, is also required.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license and insurance.
  • The position also requires availability for after-hours emergencies.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong judgment, discretion, integrity, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • CA Real Estate Salesperson License is a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate new leases, create lease abstracts, prepare leases/renewal documentation and manage tenant move-ins/outs.
  • Administer building policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the main contact for tenants, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on property performance, budgets, track expenses, and generate financial reports.
  • Conduct quarterly market surveys and manage marketing efforts.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee capital improvements, including bids, awarding contracts and scheduling work.
  • Travel for market comparisons or site coverage to help out another team member.
