About The Position

Join our team as a Property Management and Facilities Intern and gain hands-on experience in the property and facilities management fields. This internship is ideal for a driven student in the business program, preferably majoring in Real Estate or Finance. You will be involved in various construction projects, attend design and contractor meetings, and witness the construction process for various building projects. What You’ll Learn: Property Management and Facilities Operations: Gain practical knowledge of property management and facilities operations, including the coordination of maintenance and repair activities. Construction Project Management: Participate in design, architect, engineer, and contractor meetings to understand the planning and execution of construction projects. Building Systems and Components: Observe and report on the progress of the construction projects, including installation of framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpet, ceiling grid and tile, painting, wall vinyl, cove base, furniture, data, millwork, and more. Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Develop skills in coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of work including floor tours, working with ownership/management to determine resolution for challenges. Project Documentation: Assist with punch lists, walk-throughs, and obtaining as-built drawings for projects nearing completion. Bidding and Procurement: Learn about the bidding process and preparation of construction drawings for upcoming projects.

Requirements

  • Active and enrolled student in an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
  • Overall GPA of 3.00 or better.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week onsite, with no remote work.
