Property Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Inclusive Housing Resources (IHR) is seeking a reliable and independent Property Maintenance Technician for their residential properties in Fairfield, OH. This role focuses on keeping homes safe, functional, and well-maintained for individuals with developmental disabilities. The position offers a predictable weekday schedule (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm), clear work orders, and the necessary support and tools to perform the job effectively. It is ideal for a self-directed maintenance professional who values consistency, accountability, and long-term employment within a mission-driven team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of hands-on residential or building maintenance experience with consistent employment history
- Practical knowledge in two or more skilled trades
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical, hands-on work
- Proven record of reliable attendance and completing work as scheduled
- Valid driver’s license (fewer than 6 points) and ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Complete daily work orders across multiple housing locations
- Perform repairs and maintenance in areas such as: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Appliances
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently and make quality repairs the first time
- Prioritize work orders and manage your time independently
- Maintain a professional and respectful presence when working in occupied homes
