Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Quick diagnosis of issues and finding effective solutions.
  • Ability to spot potential problems before they escalate.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to report issues clearly and collaborate with other team members.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting heavy objects, standing, or working in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns.
  • Lubricate, clean, and adjust machines as necessary to ensure proper functioning.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts and components to avoid equipment failure.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment and systems.
  • Work with team members or vendors to address complex issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Install new machinery, equipment, or systems according to specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Test equipment post-installation to ensure proper functioning.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety protocols.
  • Use proper tools and equipment for repairs while minimizing hazards.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and inspections.
  • Report issues, repairs, and inventory needs to supervisors or managers.
  • Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and facility managers to improve equipment reliability.
  • Provide technical support to other departments and team members when needed.
