About The Position

The Property Maintenance Technician helps ensure the senior community runs smoothly and is safe, comfortable, and well maintained. The role covers repairs and maintenance across grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment, and vehicles, along with routine inspections and preventative maintenance. The technician supports HVAC operation and general facility functionality, orders supplies, collaborates with leadership on larger repair projects and budgeting, and responds to urgent needs, including after-hours emergencies as needed. The position calls for a respectful, compassionate, and professional approach when working with seniors, residents, visitors, and team members.

Requirements

Previous property maintenance experience is required.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Ability to handle repetitive tasks and adapt to interruptions.
Comfort working with tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Willingness to be on call for emergencies.
Compassionate and respectful approach to working with seniors.
Professional, positive attitude with residents, visitors, and team members.

Nice To Haves

Technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete work orders for repairs and maintenance across grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment, and vehicles efficiently and cost-effectively.
Perform routine inspections and implement weekly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance plans.
Maintain and service key systems and equipment.
Support HVAC system operation and general facility functionality.
Order maintenance supplies and collaborate with leadership on larger repair projects and budgeting.
Respond to urgent maintenance needs, including after-hours emergencies as needed.
