The City of Hampton is seeking a Property & Evidence Technician to perform a variety of responsible, complex, technical and administrative duties in the property and evidence containment and distribution sector of the Hampton Police Division.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Required to obtain and maintain NCIC/VCIN certifications within 90 days of employment.
• Must successfully complete a Police Division background investigation and pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Oral, written and presentation skills required.
• Knowledge of computer programs to include Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Some prior law enforcement or records management experience preferred.
