About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Control Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for managing warehouse storage and the recycling and management of the company's waste stream. The position requires consistent, in-person collaboration and will be performed 100% on-site at a BAE Systems facility. Employees at BAE Systems work on advanced electronics for various industries including aerospace and defense, contributing to missions like protecting national security and advancing technology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse management, property control, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to obtain a license to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) within a reasonable timeframe

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working in a recycling or waste management environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to property control and asset management
  • Certification in property management or a related field (e.g., Certified Property Manager, Certified Asset Manager)
  • Prior experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT)

Responsibilities

  • Sorting materials such as electronics, metals, wire and cardboard that were sent to the warehouse for recycling, requiring long hours of standing and manually manipulating materials.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate and timely storage records for assets, equipment, and materials, including consistent communication with key stakeholders for asset tracking and end-of-life processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, related to property control, asset management, and DFARS regulations.
  • Performing regular reviews and spot checks to ensure accuracy of storage records and inventory to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, including responding to communications, resolving issues, and providing guidance on storage procedures.
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders, including finance, operations, Security, SHE, Metrology, IT and logistics to ensure alignment on controls and execution of processes.
