Innovative Captive Strategies (ICS) is seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant to support and grow our captive insurance programs. This role partners closely with Sales, Account Management, and carrier partners to manage new business opportunities from intake through onboarding, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a strong client experience. What You’ll Do Manage and coordinate new business opportunities, submissions, and carrier marketing. Analyze data and prepare materials to support client acceptability decisions. Review submissions for accuracy, pricing considerations, and completeness. Collaborate with internal teams and external carrier partners to move opportunities forward. Monitor the sales pipeline and proactively follow up with carriers. Support new member onboarding and communication for assigned captives. Prepare professional presentations and reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Participate in carrier meetings, trainings, and occasional travel. What We’re Looking For Strong knowledge of property & casualty insurance coverages. 5+ years of experience in insurance or a professional business environment. Ability to analyze insurance documents, loss runs, and financial data. Highly organized, collaborative, and detail‑oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Active Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within three months). Qualifications: Education: College degree or property casualty insurance experience preferred. Experience: 3-5 years career experience Licensing: State-specific state commercial & personal property-casualty license required or ability to obtain within three months of hire. Technical Competencies: Invests in understanding and applying insurance principles to consult with clients and meet their strategic needs. Actively contributes to workflows, processes, and deliverables, using agency systems to provide a world-class client experience and ensure compliance. Able to understand clients, prioritize tasks, manage status, and deliver impactful solutions proactively.
