About The Position

We are a full-service commercial real estate firm headquartered in uptown Charlotte, with offices across the Carolinas and Atlanta, GA. Our team of real estate professionals with entrepreneurial spirit and deep roots works together to create success for our clients. Our Atlanta office is seeking an individual with a strong understanding of all things administrative, a positive outlook, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong prioritization and organizational skills, great attention to detail, and superior computer skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. This position will support a team of management and operational professionals with various commercial property management duties. They will need to be comfortable using accounting systems, including day-to-day activities of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Lease Administration, and work order management systems. Experience and proficiency in property management software systems and online interfaces are preferred. We prefer a bachelor’s degree, but also value work experience.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • Understanding of accounting as they apply to tenant accounts
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and proficiency in property management software systems and online interfaces are preferred.
  • Experience in commercial property management accounting is preferred.
  • A four-year degree from a college or university is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with lease administration
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs.
  • Track and obtain Certificates of Insurance for vendors and tenants.
  • Work closely with Property Managers and Accountants to ensure that lease terms are understood and clarified with tenants as necessary.
  • Back-up for accounts payable processing, including coding and entering invoices
  • Assist with accounts receivable processing, including AR billings, calculating utility and expense reimbursements, collections, preparing default notices, etc.
  • Back-up to the tenant service coordinator, including assisting with tenant calls and work order management as may be required.
  • Inspect the building and landscaping regularly.
  • Preparing and tracking service contracts.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.
