The Property Adjuster Trainee completes non-complex projects related to claims operations including field, desk and estimating software activities; networks with adjusters and other Sedgwick colleagues; and participates in defined learning path to pursue an adjuster license within 12 months of hire.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) years of customer service, construction or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned non-complex projects as defined by the sponsoring department management.
  • Projects may involve various specialty practice areas of claims such as engineering, forensic accounting, and fire investigation.
  • Assists property experts with projects and participates in meetings.
  • Trains on insurance coverages and principles, which may include analysis of loss experience, financial conditions and physical characteristics of risks with a plan to obtain an adjuster's license within 12 months in position.
  • Under the direction of a claims expert, interacts with insureds, documenting claims data, visuals and related evidence.
  • Supports experts in the claims inspection process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Travels as required.
