About The Position

Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage the general ledger and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. This role plays a critical part in month-end close, financial analysis, and audit support, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate
• Proven experience in commercial property accounting
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
• Experience with commercial real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee the general ledger for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze monthly variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
• Create and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Collaborate with property management and asset management teams on financial matters
