The Sr. Property Accountant will be responsible for a range of general accounting duties, including general ledger review, financial statement preparation, balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations, accruals, and quarterly re-forecast review. This role also involves high-level monthly variance explanations, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of GAAP rent calculations, and determining assets to place in service. The accountant will manage the JDE fixed asset module, calculate depreciation, and perform reasonableness reviews. Additionally, they will prepare detailed reporting packages for joint venture partners, handle monthly funding requests and loan draws, and maintain and analyze PPA-related accounts and derivatives. The position requires assisting with outside auditor requests, preparing audit PBCs and financial statements, and supporting annual tax packages. Responsibilities also include processing manual billings, adjustments, refunds, maintaining supplemental ledgers, recording daily cash, and performing daily cash reconciliations. Expense Participation (EP) for properties involves inputting information into JDE, preparing pre-bills, annual true-ups, and budget/reforecast for EP by customer. Lease review and peer review for EP setup are also key functions. The role requires assisting management offices with accounting-related questions and setting up jobs and processing pay applications for TI/Capital within the JDE job cost module.
