Requirements

A degree in Accounting or Business Administration
Registration or eligibility for registration with CAPPA (Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting) Certification
0 - 4 years of production and revenue accounting experience
Self-starter with strong analytical, account reconciliation, problem solving, organizational and Excel skills
Understanding of production accounting cycle and deadlines

Nice To Haves

Experience in an oil and gas or mining environment would be an asset

Responsibilities

Gather and analyze production data and confirm pipeline deliveries
Upload and enter well tests, production, inventories and sales into PAS
Prepare Oil, NGL, and gas sales splits and submit Volumetric, SAF/OAF, APMC and other required reports to Petrinex and communicate with partners
Book and analyze revenues, royalties, processing charges, trucking charges and accounts receivable
Review and provide comments on internal control and exception reports, and respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner
Collaborate with the field to meet government compliance requirements on EPAP & CAI and resolve Crown discrepancies as they relate to the property
