About The Position

Superior Plus Propane has different hub locations throughout the state of Maine. If you are selected to move forward to the interview phase, we will discuss which location would be the best fit. This role involves transferring, collecting, loading, and delivering propane product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers. The driver will maintain a clean and organized vehicle and leverage technology to monitor and track propane inventory, tank levels, and container sizing. Responsibilities include accurately recording and printing delivery tickets, completing daily driver reports, and maintaining equipment to the highest safety standards. The driver must report any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher and conduct pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections. Collaboration with the Dispatcher for routing and scheduling is frequent, and any product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues must be immediately reported to the dispatcher for guidance. Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
  • CDL Class A or B
  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Current DOT medical certification
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
  • Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
  • Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
  • Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information.
  • Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
  • Work overtime hours when business needs require it.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
