About The Position

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Class 3A Propane Driver on a permanent basis on Vancouver Island, BC offering $26.31 - $35.50 per hour, depending on experience. This position is a part-time role, with opportunity to work up to full time hours during the busy winter months. The role involves presenting a positive image in customer service while making propane deliveries to various local customers. Daily pre-and post-trip inspections, tracking hours, and reporting issues using an electronic log system are required. Maintaining company vehicles, ensuring preventative maintenance and minor repairs are conducted, and performing work with a high standard of safety in all operations, ensuring compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations are also key responsibilities. You will deliver propane to customers in agricultural, commercial, and domestic markets while displaying a high level of customer-focus, professionalism, and care. Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional driving experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • A Class 3A or Class 1A license.
  • Familiar with computers and/or electronic log systems.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding work such as pulling heavy hose and other equipment with a minimum weight of 50lbs.
  • Comfortable undergoing a pre-employment alcohol and substance test to qualify for safety-sensitive work.

Nice To Haves

  • Have or willing to obtain a crane truck certification.
  • Are a self-starter who works well independently with strong organizational skills and time management.
