About The Position
We are currently looking for a Propane dock worker who will be responsible for the safe and efficient filling, handling and loading of propane cylinders.
Requirements
- Mechanical abilities
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills/knowledge of a handheld device
Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately fills propane cylinders for customers and delivery trucks.
- Moves empty and full cylinders to and from delivery vehicles and storage area.
- Visually inspects cylinders for damage, leaks, or defects before and after filling.
- Performs minor maintenance and repairs on cylinders, such as replacing valves.
- Strictly follows all federal, state, and company safety procedures related to handling hazardous materials.
- Reports any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Maintains accurate records of cylinders filled and inventory levels.
- Manages associated paperwork, including documentation for quality control and compliance.
- Keeps the dock, filling station, and overall plant area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assists walk-in customers with propane purchases and may help drivers with customer-related issues.
